Drug Awareness Poster Contest

The poster contest is over and the winners have been posted. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to making this an annual event.

Archived information about April 2007 contest:
The Perry County Prosecutor’s Office is excited to announce our first Drug Awareness Poster Contest. This contest, themed “Making Drug Free Choices” will begin April 1, 2007 and will end April 30, 2007.

Every student, grades Kindergarten through 12th grade is invited to participate by submitting an original poster reflecting this year’s theme. We are offering several prizes including Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari theme park tickets, movie passes, bowling passes, McDonald’s meals, and Dairy Queen ice cream. We ask that each school choose the two best posters from each grade level and submit them to the Perry County Prosecutor’s Office for judging. Each poster submitted will then be judged by a member of the Perry County Substance Abuse Committee, a member of the local Fraternal Order of Police, and an employee of the Perry County Prosecutor’s Office. A first, second, and third place winner will be chosen from each elementary, junior high, and high school. One grand prize winner will be chosen from all submitted entries.

As Prosecutor, I feel that it is my duty to help educate our students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. It is my hope that this poster contest will cause students to think about making appropriate and healthy choices.
