Drug  & Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest Winners Announced

Perry County Prosecutor Robert Collins is excited to announce the winners of the 2010 Drug and Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest. The contest was open to all Perry County students in grades K – 7, and ran from April 1, 2010 through April 30, 2010.
A panel consisting of a member of the Perry County Substance Abuse Committee, a member of the local Fraternal Order of Police, the Victims Advocate, an employee of the Perry County News, and the Perry County Prosecutor judged each poster that was submitted. The designs were to be original and to deliver a clear message about the theme. Students could use any media including: pencil, crayon, marker, watercolor, paint, chalk, ink, etc.
The Grand Prize Winner is Devin Murphy, a 4th grader at Perry Central. Devin Murphy’s Grand Prize Winning poster was chosen from all submitted entries, and will be displayed on a billboard at 12th and Rueben Streets in Tell City during the month of August 2010.
